between personal and professional
I recently became a community manager for a site with really active/strange users. They now watch my youtube videos of my newborn boy, sign up as my facebook friends, mail me gifts at work...
What does Tom at MySpace do? How do you hide, do you even bother trying hide?

I publish very little about my personal life online, I assume just about everything is public.
I tend to secure my personal videos behind logins or use email or registration.
It's a blessing to have an engaged community, learn to make this work for you.

It would be interesting to hear other community managers feedback. Your community finds you, they want you to be their friend across social networks. I feel obligated to be as open as possible. You don't want to be like, "Oh, we are totally cool, but only on our site. I'll ask you to beta test our software, help moderate our chats, but this relationship doesn't really exist outside of that world."
